PORT ORCHARD — The South Kitsap School District will participate in a growing trend across Washington State to honor this year’s senior class.

Fisher Field at the South Kitsap athletic complex will be lit up at 8:20 p.m. (20:20) on Friday evening to recognize the Class of 2020, which will miss out on many of the customs typically associated with senior year as schools remain shuttered for the remainder of the school year.

In a Twitter post announcing its participation, the district asked that residents continue to maintain physical distancing and should not gather at the high school.
