Both lanes of Clear Creek Road in Silverdale were shut down Thursday morning following a head-on collision.

Around 8:40 a.m. a Honda Odyssey headed northbound on Clear Creek Road was stopped, waiting to turn into a driveway when it was struck from behind by a Ford F-250. The impact pushed the struck vehicle into the southbound lane where it was then struck head-on by a Ford Explorer.

The female driver of the Honda was transported by Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue to a nearby medical facility for treatment. There were two dogs in her vehicle that were uninjured and are in the care of a friend now.

The male driver of the F-250 was uninjured.

The female driver of the explorer had two young children in her care, all were evaluated for injuries at the scene by CKFR aid personnel.

According to a Facebook post by Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office, due to proper car seats and restraints, the children didn’t sustain any serious injuries nor did the driver.
