Tukwila man faces $50,000 bail for alleged burglary in Poulsbo

Kitsap County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress in the early morning of Jan. 24 in Poulsbo.

When Deputies arrived, a suspect, identified as Enzo B. Martinez, 24, of Tukwila, was already being placed under arrest.

According to an incident report, homeowners awoke to the sound of their dogs barking at 4:25 a.m. when they went downstairs to let the dogs out they saw Martinez out of their window.

According to court documents, when the homeowners asked what Martinez wanted, he reportedly said something to the effect of “come on bro.”

According to the report Martinez appeared to leave the property, but came back to the house, at which time one of the homeowners had armed themselves with a pistol and told Martinez to leave the property and that he was trespassing. Martinez left and came back again, but this time made his way to the back of the house where he was spotted by the homeowner’s daughter. The homeowner then went outside and challenged Martinez, telling him to get on the ground, to which Martinez complied.

According to the report, Deputies talked to a man about half a mile down the road who said he and Martinez had taken an Uber, but had been dropped off in the wrong area and had lost cell phone service. Deputies reported that the man smelled strongly of alcohol and had given him a courtesy ride home.

Martinez was arrested for attempted Burglary with bail set at $50,000.
