Poulsbo Police arrest suspect for child sex crimes

Poulsbo Police arrested a 63-year-old man on multiple charges of sex crimes against a child at 9 a.m. on Dec. 23.

Detectives for Poulsbo PD had become aware of allegations against the male suspect from a family member who claimed that the man had engaged in sex crimes with a child. The allegations were deemed credible and detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant.

Poulsbo PD was aided in the arrest by detectives from Bainbridge Island, Port Orchard and Bremerton in the search of the home and the subsequent arrest.

The man was arrested on one count of possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, one count of dealing in depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct, one count of rape of a child in the first degree and one count of molestation of a child in the first degree.

According to a report from the Poulsbo Police Department, the investigation is ongoing to possibly identify additional victims.

The suspect’s bail has been set at $350,000.
