Poulsbo Community Orchestra to host BBQ fundraiser

The fundraiser is set for Sept. 7

The Poulsbo Community Orchestra (PCO) will stage its second annual BBQ fundraiser Sept. 7 at Raab Park, supported by Suquamish Clearwater Casino.

While attendees will savor a meal of tri-tip steak and sausage sandwiches, rice, beans, salad and dessert from Pedro’s Santa Maria Style BBQ and enjoy wine from Eleven Winery, they also can participate in a raffle, silent auction and listen to live music.

Attendees will also have a chance to meet Mario Alejandro Torres, the orchestra’s music director and conductor, and other orchestra musicians.

Tickets are $25 and available online at www.poulsbocommunityorchestra.org. Included in the ticket price are a BBQ dinner and non-alcoholic drinks. Tickets for alcoholic beverages are $5. Tickets should be ordered by Sept. 1.

“Interest and enthusiasm for this year’s fundraiser have been exceptional, Steve Swann, PCO’s executive director, said.

”Many noteworthy raffle and silent auction items include tickets for the Seattle Symphony, a boat excursion with dinner, wine tastings, American Cruise Line’s shipboard dinner cruise from Poulsbo to Seattle and a special ‘Private Dinner for Four with Conductor Mario,’ prepared by Friends of the Orchestra at a waterfront home.”

All proceeds will help fund the orchestra’s free concerts this coming season.
