Local artist supporting Kitsap community with video

Local artist Clive Stewart's video release party for "Burnin' Buildings" will be held 7 p.m. Dec. 1 at Everybody's American Cookhouse.

On Dec. 1, local artist Clive Stewart will hold a viewing party for his video “Burnin’ Buildings.” The event is from 7-9 p.m. at Everybody’s American Cookhouse, 4215 Mile Hill Drive.

Proceeds from future downloads of this video about social change and peace will help benefit the South Kitsap Helpline Food Bank.

The event is a part of a new venture by Hemesh Bhargo, CEO of Hyper Effects, and Stewart, where local artists can offer their works to the community with 100 percent of the profits going toward a selected non-profit chose by the artist.

The artistic work will be displayed on a new website created by Hyper Effects, the highest rated Website development company in Kitsap County.

Stewart is the first artist to be featured on the new website with his new release “Burnin’ Buildings.”

“For those who choose to loot and destroy property during peaceful protests, I wrote this song as an appeal for peace, communication, forgiveness and unity between people,” Stewart said.

Stewart migrated to the U.S. from Jamaica. He started his journey in the music scene in the 1990s and is the lead singer, songwriter, producer and rhythm guitarist for his band Common Ancestor. He has also performed a number of solo projects and places emphasis on staying actively involved in the community.
