Red, ’65 Mustang available in raffle — Kingston Kiwanis updates

OK, so here it is, the car I’ve been talking about – a 1965 Mustang, cranberry red, 289 automatic. Raffle tickets are $10 each and funds raised benefit our local food banks, Boys and Girls Club and the Kingston Kiwanis Scholarship Foundation. This year, we were able to give two very deserving kids $2,500 each to help with their college education.
Kiwanis berry season is also upon us. If you need an order form please go to www.windermerekingston.com/Berries and print one out.
We have a new event coming to town, Paddle Kitsap. Aug. 1-2 when about 100 kayaks land in Kingston. There will be food and bands at Mike Wallace Park. This will be lots of fun and a great opportunity to embarrass the kids with your rendition of the “Sprinkler,” “Hustle,” or even my personal favorite – the “chicken dance!”
Kiwanis had an installment dinner for a new Key Club at Kingston High School. What a great bunch of kids. If you’d like more information on Kiwanis or Key Club, call me at (360) 297-2661 or Margaret LaMay at (360) 297-1711.
