Road repairs from the recent floods are progressing gradually and two have already been reopened.
Vehicular traffic on Paulson Road resumed Thursday and on Brownsville Highway from SR-303 to Illahee yesterday.
The Taylor Road bridge, which was partially washed away during the storm, is expected to reopen to traffic by the end of the day on Monday. Pedestrian access to the bridge has not been blocked.
Most of the repairs are quick-fixes and aren’t expected to have traffic zipping along.
“You’ll have to go slow,” Kitsap County Public Works Director Randy Casteel said.
It’s not certain when permanent repairs will be made and the timeline for them will hinge largely on mother nature.
“We’re gonna have to get good weather to get (roads) paved,” Casteel said.
