Poulsbo native Laura Cheifetz was named director of the Leading Generations Initiative for The Fund for Theological Education in Atlanta this month. Cheifetz, an ordained Presbyterian minister, is a 1996 graduate of North Kitsap High School. She has a bachelor’s degree from Western Washington University as well as a master’s degree in divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. The Fund for Theological Education is a nonprofit organization that advocates for excellence and diversity in pastoral ministry and theological scholarship.
