Sex offender Cozzie moves to SK

The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a community meeting on Tuesday to notify the public that a Level III sex offender is relocating to South Kitsap.

John Paul Cozzie, 28, has registered to live on the 1900 block of SW Cook Road. He previously lived in Bremerton.

He is described as 6-2, 150-pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

According to court documents, Cozzie was convicted second-degree assault in 1999 for sexually assaulting a woman. In 2000, he was convicted of third-degree rape after sexually assaulting an adult male. Both victims were known to him.

The community meeting has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Jan. 20 in the Kitsap room of the Givens Community Center, 1026 Sidney Avenue in Port Orchard.
