Washington State Ferries’ Bremerton-Seattle route will be on one-boat service until further notice after damage to a propeller on the Walla Walla vessel was discovered Jan. 1.
One of the blades on the 57-year-old propellers of the boat had been sheared off and will be dry-docked for repairs, which is expected to take a few weeks, per WSF. The sailings between Seattle and Bremerton typically run on a two-boat service.
“We are working hard on a long-term service plan for the Seattle/Bremerton route, and we will provide updates as we get them. We know that this is a large disruption that affects many people. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience while we resolve the issue,” a WSF Facebook post says.
