PORT ORCHARD — Crews from the South Kitsap High School rowing program were victorious in five out of six races May 26 in the South Kitsap Wolf Pack Crew Regatta on Sinclair Inlet.

The open eight-man race featured a South Kitsap win with a time of 6:48. The SK men’s novice crew was between 10 to 12 lengths behind, followed by a crew from Olympic Peninsula Rowing. In the open eight-woman race, the Wolves’ varsity crew won by half a boat’s length ahead of second-place finisher Olympic Peninsula. The SK novice eight trailed behind.

In the four-man varsity race, SK’s crew easily topped the race by crossing the finish line 12 lengths ahead of their nearest competitor in open water. The SK four-woman varsity crew won in similar fashion. They cruised to a 10-length victory.

Olympic Peninsula’s sole win came in the eight-woman novice race. In four-men novice competition, SK’s crew crossed the finish line in first place.

The regatta was sponsored by Fathoms O’ Fun Festivals, Windermere Real Estate of Port Orchard and Recognition Plus.
