PORT ORCHARD — A mid-day fire at the 900 block of Hull Avenue in Port Orchard Nov. 7 gutted a home, leaving three of the residents homeless.

South Kitsap Fire and Rescue units responded to a call for aid at around 11:30 a.m. Bremerton Fire Department assisted to douse the flames, which reportedly started on the second floor, said a neighbor who witnessed the fire in its early stages. The neighbor reported the home’s occupants safely escaped the burning structure and were uninjured.

David Lynam, Kitsap County fire marshal, is investigating the circumstances surrounding the blaze.
