Homicide victim identified; bail for suspect set at $1 million

PORT ORCHARD – A 27-year-old East Bremerton area man has been identified as the victim of an apparent homicide that occurred the evening of Jan. 29, according to the Kitsap County Coroner’s Office.
The man is Travis Lee Fish, 27.
Detectives with the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office have named Dustin Robert Cupp, 31, as the primary suspect in the case.
Cupp was arrested just after 10 p.m. Jan. 29 at a private residence in Central Kitsap. He was transported and booked into Kitsap County Jail on suspicion of murder in the second degree. Bail was set at $1 million.
The county’s forensic pathologist will conduct an autopsy of the victim on Feb. 1. The coroner will make a determination as to the cause and manner of death.
Cupp is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Kitsap County District Court at 3 p.m. Feb. 1.
