Central Kitsap homicide suspect arrested

CENTRAL KITSAP – Kitsap County Sheriff’s detectives apprehended the man who had been identified as the primary suspect in the death of an adult male at a residence in the Camelot Mobile Home Park.

According to KCSO, sheriff’s detectives and patrol deputies took Dustin Robert Cupp, 31, into custody at 10:05 p.m., without incident, at a private residence in Central Kitsap.

Earlier, sheriff’s patrol deputies responded to a residence in the mobile home park at 4:29 p.m. after being informed that a man had collapsed after being stabbed during some type of confrontation.

Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue had engine and medic units staging nearby.

The initial responding deputy assessed the scene and attempted to provide immediate aid to the victim while radioing for the medic unit to continue to the house.

Despite immediate and continuing emergency care by the CKF&R medical crew, the man was pronounced deceased at 4:44 p.m.

Sheriff’s patrol deputies quickly began establishing containment of the area while a sheriff’s K-9 team was dispatched to respond.
