POULSBO — After being unbeaten through the regular season and District playoffs, the North Kitsap Vikings took a narrow defeat to Hockinson Nov. 15.

The Vikings (10-1) lost 7-2 at North Kitsap Stadium in the first round of the 2A State playoffs.

The loss followed 10 straight wins through the District playoffs. The Vikings took the Olympic League title outright, finishing the regular season 6-0. They defeated Renton 27-6 for the State berth.

Hockinson (11-0) advances to the quarterfinals of State. The Greater St. Helens League champions face Lynden Nov. 22 at Civic Stadium in Bellingham.
