Navy hosts fourth annual POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony in Keyport

KEYPORT — Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport and the Naval Undersea Museum, Keyport are partnering to commemorate POW/MIA Recognition Day on Sept. 21.
The event is open to the public. Base access is not required. The national theme for this year’s observance is “Until They Are Home.”
Capt. David K. Kohnke, commander, NUWC Keyport, will serve as master of ceremony at the event, which will run from 7:45-8:15 a.m. at the Naval Undersea Museum, Keyport. The commemoration will be highlighted by Navy divers from NUWC Keyport’s dive locker silently passing the American flag just prior to the National Anthem being played by Navy Band Northwest.
