Softball 18U team wins state tourney

POULSBO — The Big League Softball team (18U) won the state softball tournament for the second year in a row over the weekend.

The team of 14 is preparing to travel to Palmdale, Calif., by July 22 for the regional tournament. The team will stay for one week and is guaranteed four games.

The winner of Regionals heads to the World Series in Kalamazoo, Mich.

To support the team, fundraisers are being organized, including a burger night at The Loft in Poulsbo July 16 from 6-9 p.m. Two dollars of every burger purchased will go toward the team’s expenses.
