Jake Velarde places third at national wrestling tournament

Hansville resident Jake Velarde placed third at the USA Wrestling Cadet and Junior National Championships July 18 in Fargo, N.D. Velarde, a sophomore-to-be at North Kitsap High, competed in the cadet 119-pound weight division.
