Food for Kitsap’s Soul

Good times, bad times, it’s always a good time to eat.

And in Central Kitsap, independents weathering the storm continue to feed us the familiar and delicious. Although it is not always healthy for our bodies, it nourishes our souls.

Some report business is steady, others robust, some say it’s not as good as before Americans starting sweating over pink slips and third notices from creditors.

But whether old or new, iconic or obscure, the writers of the Central Kitsap Reporter visited some of the mom and pop restaurants that serve food like mom used to make. Or dad. Or the food we wished mom and dad used to make.
