High school sailing hits Liberty Bay

The Kingston and North Kitsap High School sailing teams will host the Dogfish Bay Regatta Saturday and Sunday, at the Port of Poulsbo. Races will be sailed in FJ’s and Vanguard 15’s – both of which are two-person dinghies. Saturday’s races will take place from around noon to 5:30 p.m., and Sunday’s will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Soap box derby arriving in Poulsbo

The Kitsap Soap Box Derby Association has acquired several derby cars and is looking for new drivers between the ages of 8 and 17. Drivers construct their own cars and gain experience with each trip down the hill. The next races will take place April 25-26 on Dauntless Drive, near the Olympic College Poulsbo campus. Races last all day.
