Lady Bucs basketball keeps right on winning

On Tuesday Dec. 16 the Bucs hosted North Mason and defeated the Bulldogs, 66-25. The Bucs have a 4-1 record, their only loss was handed down by Port Angeles on Dec. 12, 74-63.

Stats: Laura Wicklein, six points, four rebounds, four steals and three assists; Ashley Redican, nine points and two rebounds; Jordan Wall, three points and one rebound; Megan Ramey, four points, four rebounds, two steals and three assists; Sophia Baetz, 23 points, eight rebounds, two steals and four assists; Crystal Hart, four points and four rebounds; Arissan Ugles, 13 points, six rebounds, three steals and one assist; Elle Sander, two points and two rebounds; and Elsa Brown, two points, four rebounds and two steals.

On Saturday the Bucs host Franklin, game starts at 5:50 p.m.

KHS Athletic Boosters host a ‘Wing Ding”

On Saturday at 7 p.m., after the girls varsity basket ball game against Franklin, the KHS Athletic Boosters will host a “Wing Ding,” in the commons. For $10, attendees get al=l the wings you can eat and a plate of sides including potato salad, carrots & celery, corn bread and dessert. The feast is free to all athletic boosters.

No break for winter sports, weather permitting

School’s out until Jan. 5, but a few of the district’s sports teams will be competing. On Saturday North Kitsap lady Viking basketball hosts North Thurston, JV starts at 3:15 p.m. and varsity at 5 p.m. On Saturday the Vikings and Buccaneers wrestling teams attend the North Mason Classic in North Mason. On Monday and Tuesday Dec. 29 and 30, the Kingston boys basketball team travels to Illwaco for the Illwaco Holiday Tournament. The Kingston girls basketball team hosts Franklin on Saturday, varsity starts at 5:30 p.m.
