KINGSTON — It’s free PB&J day in Kingston from noon until 3 p.m. With an expected visit from Gov. Christine Gregoire to CB’s Nuts Roasting Facility, located off of State Route 104 in Kingston, owner Clark Bowen is turning today into an all-out event.
“I’ve heard she loves the nuts,” Bowen said. The event, which includes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for those who attend, is part of a last-minute fundraiser for Kingston Co-op Preschool. Sundown Ridge Farms of Poulsbo is providing the jam. All donations will benefit the school.
Gregoire, currently in the midst of her re-election campaign, is expected to arrive around 2 p.m. She’s making stops throughout Western Washington during the day to get out and talk to residents of various communities.
The facility is located at 6013 NE State Highway 104 in Kingston. For more information call (360) 297-1213.
