Cemetery caretakers

Members of the Kingston Garden Club did some spring sprucing up at the Kingston Cemetery April 5, weeding, cutting back brush and cleaning headstones. The effort was an Arbor Day Project of the community beautification committee. The Kingston Cemetery Association hires someone to mow the grass, and a few friends and families of those buried there keep some of the plots clean, according to association president Bill Reynolds. But volunteers who want to help with maintenance at the cemetery are always welcome, as are donations to help with caretaking costs. Contact the Kingston Cemetery Association at P.O. Box 1231, Kingston, WA 98346.
