Bainbridge

2021 record: 18-4 (13-1 in league)

Coach: Jen Roman

Key players: Senior Becca Roman and junior Izzy Prentice

Outlook: Bainbridge lost league MVP Allie Wildsmith and Defensive Player of the Year Florencia Olivera. So, the Spartans have huge shoes to fill on the offensive and defensive sides of the game. Prentice and Roman, all-league selections, will be returning.

Schedule: Sept. 13, 6:45 p.m. at North Kitsap; Sept. 15, 6:45 p.m., North Mason; Sept. 20, 6:45 p.m., Bremerton; Sept. 22, 6:15 p.m. at Kingston; Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m., Sequim; Sept. 29, 6:45 p.m., Port Angeles; Oct. 4, 6:45 p.m. at Olympic; Oct. 6, 6:45 p.m., North Kitsap; Oct. 11, 6:45 p.m. at North Mason; Oct. 13, 6:45 p.m. at Bremerton; Oct. 18, 6:45 p.m., Kingston; Oct. 20, 6:45 p.m. at Sequim; Oct. 25, 6:45 p.m. at Port Angeles; Oct. 27, 6:45 p.m., Olympic

Bremerton

2021 record: 2-12 (2-12 in league)

Coach: Brandon Lilly

Key players: Juniors Helene Rode and Manalei Penitusi

Outlook: Only two players return from last year’s team, so it’s a young squad. So, Bremerton, which finished seventh in the Olympic League, will be seeing new faces at every spot on the court. In addition, the JV squad finished last in the league last season.

Schedule: Sept. 13, 6:45 p.m. at Olympic; Sept. 15, 6:45 p.m., North Kitsap; Sept. 20, 6:45 p.m. at Bainbridge; Sept. 22, 6:45 p.m., North Mason; Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m., Kingston; Sept. 29, 6:45 p.m. at Sequim; Oct. 4, 6:45 p.m., Port Angeles; Oct. 6, 6:45 p.m., Olympic; Oct. 11, 6:45 p.m. at North Kitsap; Oct. 13, 6:45 p.m., Bainbridge; Oct. 18, 6:45 p.m. at North Mason; Oct. 20, 6:45 p.m. at Kingston; Oct. 25, 6:45 p.m., Sequim; Oct. 27, 6:45 p.m. at Port Angeles

Central Kitsap

2021 record: 15-6 (10-4 in league)

Coach: Katie Pasi

Key players: Seniors Haylee Tamayoshi, Allie Lewis and Jada Kopp, and juniors Kawehi-May Sarono and Catherine-Marie Calma

Outlook: More than half of last year’s team graduated. So, the CK team that reached state last season will see several new faces at each position. The biggest question will be who will lead the offense after three outside hitters graduated.

Schedule: Sept. 8, 6:45 p.m. at North Kitsap; Sept. 20, 7 p.m. at Peninsula; Sept. 22, 7:15 p.m., North Thurston; Sept. 24, 8 a.m., Reach the Peak Volleyball Tournament; Sept. 27, 7 p.m. at Gig Harbor; Sept. 29, 7:15 p.m. at River Ridge; Oct. 4, 7:15 p.m., Timberline; Oct. 6, 7:15 p.m. at Yelm; Oct. 8, 8 a.m., Cap City Invitational; Oct. 11, 7:15 p.m. at Capital; Oct. 18, 7:15 p.m., Peninsula; Oct. 20, 7:15 p.m. at North Thurston; Oct. 25, 7:15 p.m., Gig Harbor; Oct. 27, 7:15 p.m., River Ridge; Nov. 1, 7:15 p.m. at Timberline; Nov. 3, 7:15 p.m., Yelm; Nov. 8, 7:15 p.m., Capital

Kingston

2021 record: 7-9 (7-7 in league)

Coach: Chris Eaton

Key players: Seniors Daisy Larios, Kayla Baker, Grace Mosco and Sophia Call

Outlook: Kingston lost its two all-league selections, Kate McCabe and Marion Stejer. However, the Buccaneers will be senior-heavy this season. Last season, Kingston went 5-2 against teams lower in the league. In addition, the JV team finished second. So, if they can progress to the varsity level, the Bucs can be a long shot for a league title.

Schedule: Sept. 13, 6:45 p.m., Port Angeles; Sept. 15, 6:45 p.m. at Olympic; Sept. 20. 6:45 p.m. at North Kitsap; Sept. 22, 6:45 p.m., Bainbridge; Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m. at Bremerton; Sept. 29, 6:45 p.m., North Mason; Oct. 4, 6:45 p.m., Sequim; Oct. 6, 6:45 p.m. at Port Angeles; Oct. 11, 6:45 p.m., Olympic; Oct. 13, 6:45 p.m., North Kitsap; Oct. 18, 6:45 p.m. at Bainbridge; Oct. 20, 6:45 p.m., Bremerton; Oct. 25, 6:45 p.m. at North Mason; Oct. 27, 6:45 p.m. at Sequim

Klahowya

2021 record: 7-11 (4-10 in league)

Coach: Wendy Kraft

Key players: Seniors Alyssa Watson, Alyssa Hintz, Hannah Solvie, Taylor Madle, and Emily Greene.

Outlook: Half of last year’s team has graduated, but Klahowya’s JV squad went 13-3 so it could do better this year.

Schedule: Sept. 8, 6:30 p.m., Annie Wright; Sept. 12, 6 p.m. at Vashon; Sept. 14, 6:30 p.m., Cascade Christian; Sept. 15, 6 p.m. at Charles Wright Academy; Sept. 19, 6:30 p.m., Bellevue Christian; Sept. 21, 6:30 p.m. at East Jefferson; Sept. 26, 6:30 p.m. at Seattle Christian; Sept. 28, 6:30 p.m., Crosspoint Academy; Sept. 29, 6:30 p.m., Life Christian Academy; Oct. 3, 6 p.m. at Annie Wright; Oct. 5, 6:30 p.m., Vashon; Oct. 10, 6 p.m. at Cascade Christian; Oct. 12, 6:30 p.m., Charles Wright Academy; Oct. 17 6:30 p.m., East Jefferson; Oct. 19, 6:30 p.m., Seattle Christian; Oct. 24, 6:45 p.m. at Bremerton; Oct. 26, 6 p.m. at Life Christian Academy

North Kitsap

2021 record: 17-6 (13-1 in league)

Coach: Kaelea Makaiwi

Key players: Seniors Maddie Pryde and Sophia Baugh

Outlook: North Kitsap lost at least one player at each position. However, the state qualifying squad returns nearly every star-studded player. The squad will be led by all-league first-teamers Baugh and Pryde. If the Vikings can find players to fill the defensive specialist positions, they will be the best all-around team in the league.

Schedule: Sept. 13, 6:45 p.m., Bainbridge; Sept. 15, 6:45 p.m. at Bremerton; Sept. 20, 6:45 p.m., Kingston; Sept. 22, 6:45 p.m., Sequim; Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m. at Port Angeles; Sept. 29, 6:45 p.m., Olympic; Oct. 4, 6:45 p.m. at North Mason; Oct. 6, 6:45 p.m. at Bainbridge; Oct. 11, 6:45 p.m., Bremerton; Oct. 13, 6:45 p.m. at Kingston; Oct. 18, 6:45 p.m. at Sequim; Oct. 20, 6:45, Port Angeles; Oct. 25, 6:45 at Olympic High; Oct. 27, 6:45 p.m., North Mason

Olympic

2021 record: 8-14 (6-8 in league)

Coach: Keith Peden

Key players: Seniors Eliza McKinney, Serene Gonzalez and Emlyn Coulter

Outlook: Half of last season’s team graduated while the other half are now seniors. Last season, the squad finished fifth in the Olympic League. So, the team will become younger, less-experienced and lack some offensive weapons.

Schedule: Sept. 13, 6:45 p.m., Bremerton; Sept. 15, 6:45 p.m., Kingston; Sept. 20, 6:45 p.m. at Sequim; Sept. 22, 6:45 p.m., Port Angeles; Sept. 27, 6:45 p.m. at North Mason; Sept. 29, 6:45 p.m. at North Kitsap; Oct. 4, 6:45 p.m., Bainbridge; Oct. 6, 6:45 p.m. at Bremerton; Oct. 11, 6:45 p.m. at Kingston; Oct. 13, 6:45 p.m., Sequim; Oct. 18, 6:45 p.m. at Port Angeles; Oct. 20, 6:45 p.m., North Mason; Oct. 25, 6:45 p.m., North Kitsap; Oct. 27, 6:45 p.m. at Bainbridge

South Kitsap

2021 record: 4-14 (1-8 in league)

Coach: CJ Scott

Key players: Seniors Sydney Mudgett, Clara Nelson and Jessica Berntson, and juniors Taylor Richardson, Lauren Braaten

Outlook: The team will return all of its outside hitters and nearly every defensive specialist. If they can improve offensively, they can become a more troublesome team toward opponents.

Schedule: Sept. 6, 6:30 p.m. at Kingston; Sept. 8, 6:15 p.m. at Olympic; Sept. 10, 3:30 p.m., Skyview; Sept. 12, 7:15 p.m., Bethel; Sept. 14, 7:15 p.m. at Emerald Ridge; Sept. 20, 7:15 p.m., Sumner; Sept. 22, 7:15 p.m. at Curtis; Sept. 26, 7:15 p.m., Graham-Kapowsin; Sept. 28, 7:15 p.m., Bellarmine; Oct. 4, 7:15 p.m. at Puyallup; Oct. 5, 7:15 p.m. at Rogers; Oct. 10., 7:15 p.m., Curtis; Oct. 12, 7:15 p.m. at Sumner, Oct. 18, 7:15 p.m. at Bellarmine, Oct. 20. 7:15 p.m., Puyallup; Oct. 25, 7:15 p.m. at Olympia
