The Vikings won the Olympic League title with a 16-0 record in 2013

How the team fared in 2013: The Vikings won the Olympic League title with a 16-0 record. They finished ahead of the Klahowya Eagles (13-3) and the Buccaneers (12-4). The team earned the No. 1 seed into the Olympic League Tournament and earned the fifth seed into the District Tournament.

Despite their perfect record in the regular season, the Vikings fell short of a State appearance when they lost 1-0 to Fife at Districts.

What to expect this year: The team lost eight seniors from 2013, most of which were starts, according to head coach Chris May. However, there’s a good mix of senior leaders and a strong returning junior class.

With the addition of “a handful of sophomore and freshman that have impressed so far,” May said the Vikings have the making for a good team. The team is balanced and has relatively deep skill in all positions, may said.
