ISPN Sports to broadcast Bremerton High basketball

Kevin Mac will broadcast live coverage of the Kingston High School-Bremerton High School girls basketball game at 7 p.m. today on www.ispnsports.com.

Mac will also broadcast the Bremerton boys basketball game versus Olympic High School at 7 p.m. Tuesday, on the same site.

The ISPN Sports Show will include interviews from Thursday’s Olympic College women’s basketball game against Southwestern Oregon Community College.

Puget Sound Tomahawks head coach Jason Quinn will also be featured on Mac’s show this week.

Olympic High hosts basketball clinic

The Olympic High School boys basketball team is sponsoring its second annual Basketball Skills Clinic Wednesday, Dec. 29 at the school’s gymnasium. Trojans head coach Devin Huff will host the clinic, which is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through eighth grade.

The first session, for grades kindergarten through fourth, will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. The second session for grades fourth through eighth will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The clinic’s registration fee is $30, which includes an Olympic Trojans basketball T-shirt. Registration forms are available on the school’s website at http://olhs.cksd.wednet.edu, or e-mail Olympic Athletic Director Nate Andrews at natea@cksd.wednet.edu.

Kitsap Pumas club defeat Snohomish in Everett

The Kitsap Pumas scored two goals in the final minute of a Dec. 11 match to beat Snohomish 4-3 at the Snohomish Soccer Dome in Everett.

Kitsap’s Matt Friesen tied the game at 3-3 with a goal in the last minute.

He scored another goal as the final whistle sounded to give the Pumas indoor soccer club its fourth straight win.

The Pumas are 4-1 this season. The season will resume in January after the holiday break.

Bremerton, Olympic High bowling teams win league matches

The Bremerton High School girls bowling team defeated Klahowya Secondary School Tuesday, 6-1.

The Knights swept Klahowya in the first two games with scores of 821 and 849. Bremerton’s total pin fall score of 2,045 bested the Eagles’ tally of 1,805.

Bremerton was led by top-scorer Abby King, whose single game score of 256 helped the Knights earn the Olympic League victory. King finished with a series score of 418. Klahowya was led by Jacqui Hornbeck, who finished with a 337 series score.

Meanwhile, the Olympic High School girls bowling team wrapped up a 5-2 win against North Mason High School.

The Lady Trojans hit 838 and 806 pins in games one and two, respectively, which sealed the victory Tuesday.

Audrey Deutsch was Olympic’s top performer with a single game score of 202. She finished with a 403 series score. Emily Sutton and Kendra Willis finished with game scores of 373 and 365, respectively.
