Olympic High School to host baseball clinic

The Olympic High School baseball team will host its 9th annual Baseball Skills Clinic on Wednesday, March 30.

The clinic is set to take place at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Baseball Complex or high school gymnasium depending on weather.

It will include novice to experienced boys and girls baseball players from grades kindergarten to 8.

The fee is $35 and a T-shirt is guaranteed if registered by March 11. For more information, contact Nate Andrews at (360) 662-2711.

Starr’s Hoop Shoot streak ends

Silverdale native Starr Rodenhurt’s Hoop Shoot streak ended Saturday when she placed second in the 12 to 13 girls category, hitting 68 percent from the line.

C.J. Lagat from the Bremerton Lodge advanced from the 10 to 11 boys category after hitting 92 percent of his shots. He will represent the lodge and district at the state shoot-off Feb. 12 in Bellevue.
