The Olympic High School (OHS) Baseball Booster Club is sponsoring the sixth annual Baseball Skills Clinic April 1.

Presented by OHS baseball coach Nate Andrews, the clinic is open to children in kindergarten through eighth grade and is at the Kitsap Fairgrounds Baseball complex.

The session for grades K-4 is from 8:30 a.m. to noon and the session for grades 4-8 is from 1 to 4:30 p.m. The first 50 registration forms per session receive priority. As of today, Andrews said there is plenty of space for walk-up registration.

Baseball skills to be covered include injury prevention, throwing, catching, sliding, base-running, bunting, hitting and fielding.

Registration is $40 and includes a T-shirt. It is recommended all participants prepare and dress with rain in mind. The OHS gymnasium will be used if the field is unplayable.

Registration forms are available via e-mail request and on the program’s Web site, http://olhs.cksd.wednet.edu/baseball/.

For additional information, contact Andrews at (360) 662-2711 or natea@cksd.wednet.edu (preferred).
