South Kitsap senior led his team to 3-2 win at 47th Senior All-Star baseball game

South Kitsap catcher Tyler Pinkerton was voted MVP of the 47th Senior All-Star baseball game Monday at Gene Lobe Field at the Fairgrounds.

The senior hit a double and drove in a run to help the Americans earn a 3-2 win against the Nationals.

South’s Logan Knowles also pitched the final six innings to earn the win. Afterward, he received the Dick Todd Memorial leadership award.

Romo dominates at showcase game

South junior Hayley Romo went 3 for 3 to help the American League defeat the National League 14-10 during Monday night’s All-Star showcase fastpitch at the Fairgrounds.

Romo, who earned MVP honors, had a double, home run and four RBI.

South’s Drew Camacho also finished 2 for 3.
