KHS Booster Club slates

fall sports banquet

The Kingston Athletics Booster Club will host the first annual fall sports banquet for participants in all fall sports at Kingston High School. The banquet will be held in the commons where dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Nov. 13, followed by the awards presentation at 6:45 p.m. Participants in the boys tennis, cheerleading, cross country, football, girls soccer, girls swimming and volleyball programs, as well as family, friends and fans are invited to attend. KHS readying for

Meet the Bucs Night

Kingston High School will host its winter sports Meet the Bucs Night in the KHS Gym, starting at 7 p.m. Nov. 19. Coaches and participants in all winter sports programs, including boys basketball, boys swimming, cheer, girls basketball, gymnastics and wrestling, will be introduced. Following introductions of the teams, each coach will conduct a preseason parent meeting in separate classrooms.

KYLA set to start 2008

season registration

Kitsap Youth Lacrosse Association (KYLA) will hold registration for the 2008 season at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Fairview Junior High in Silverdale. The mandatory parents and annual membership meeting will precede registration.

Boys and girls in third-eighth grades from the Bremerton, Central, North and South Kitsap school districts are eligible to participate. Fee for the 2008 season is $115 for KYLA members and $120 for non-members. It covers league and umpire fees, fields, uniforms, transportation and team equipment.

PTA unveiling college workshop Nov. 13

NKHS PTA will be presenting free workshop on getting thousands of dollars for a college education at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the North Kitsap Community Auditorium. The speaker will be Frank Warner, who is a CPA and college financial planning expert.

This is not an investment seminar. The program will last about 1 1/2 hours and will be followed by a question and answer period. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Kitsap’s most knowledgeable speaker on college financial planning and paying for college. Admission is free. For planning purposes (workshop materials, etc.) call 692-1040 to let organizers know how many are attending.
