Mixed production

for soccer team

After a 7-1 Narrows League win Tuesday against Lincoln, South Kitsap High School’s girls soccer team couldn’t manage to find the goal in a 4-0 loss Thursday at Gig Harbor.

The Wolves (5-3-1 overall, 4-2-1 league) trailed 2-0 at halftime and coach Michael Krug said the team “made some mistakes and they were compounded from there.”

It was much different against the Abes when Kailey Lyman scored three goals and Miranda Ness, Brianna Waldron, Sammy Daniels and Riley Dopps added one each.

Before the loss, South led the Narrows with 13 points.

“This loss isn’t going to cost us state,” Krug said. “There are a lot of positives.”
