POULSBO — Safeway hosts a 12th Fan Seahawks and North Kitsap High School Football Team Celebration Dec. 12, 3-7 p.m., at the Poulsbo store, 19245 10th Ave. NE.

You’ll meet Seahawk mascot Blitz, the Sea Gals, the Seahawks Blue Thunder Drummers, North Kitsap High School football team and cheerleaders, the school Pep Band, and ASB and school officials.

Safeway is the official grocer of the Seattle Seahawks and is celebrating the team on the ultimate fan day: 12/12. Safeway is also celebrating the 10-0 season of the North Kitsap Vikings football team.

Blitz, the Sea Gals, the Blue Thunder marching band, the NKHS cheerleaders and Pep Band will perform beginning at 3 p.m. The store will offer free tastings and chances to win prizes; 20 footballs signed by the Seattle Seahawks will be given away, along with NFL gear and store gift cards. The day will also feature games for adults and children, and children can be enrolled in the “Generation 12 Seahawks Kids Club.”

North Kitsap High School Principal Judson Miller will be there to honor the football team and thank the community for its support. Safeway also will have a special presentation for the NKHS football team.
