PORT GAMBLE — The third race installment of the Roots Rock Trail Running series begins this Sunday in Port Gamble.
The Timber Town 10k, hosted by Poulsbo Running, will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Gate 6, just south of Port Gamble — where the model airplanes are flown.
The Timber Town route has “a little bit of smooth running before tackling some fun, uphill single track,” according to the race description on the website. The route takes runners through the Beaver Pond Trail before finishing back at Gate 6.
Cost is $15 per person with a $5 discount if registered before the race.
Registration may be done by mail, in person or online.
