POULSBO — Dan Moore of Poulsbo made a hole in one at White Horse Golf Club on Jan. 16. It’s the first hole-in-one of the year at White Horse, according to Matt Prichard, assistant pro.
Moore aced the par-3, 123-yard 17th hole using a 9-iron. Weather was good; the time was between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Moore was playing in a foursome.
Moore received an item from the pro shop, Prichard said, and he can register his hole in one on the U.S. Golf Association hole-in-one registry. According to USGA, the estimated odds of acing a hole with any given swing are one in 33,000.
Prichard said about a dozen aces are made each year at White Horse, mostly on the No. 6 and No. 17.
