POULSBO — Emilee Poffenroth scored eight goals to lead North Kitsap to its second win of the season with a 19-8 girls high school lacrosse victory over Bethel, Thursday at Strawberry Field in Poulsbo.
North got out to a 12-4 start and systematically added seven more to roll to the win.
Poffenroth, a Kingston High School senior, added an assist and nine ground balls in the win. Rachael Rapp, also of Kingston High, hit five goals and an assist. Goaltender Valerie Kranich, a Kingston sophomore, had 12 saves. Olivia Sinay of Bethel had four goals, four ground balls and five draw controls.
North Kitsap (2-1-0) next faces Evergreen (0-2-1 ) March 24 in a 1 p.m. start at Vancouver’s McKenzie Field. Bethel (0-4-0) next faces Nathan Hale (1-1-0), Tuesday, March 27, in a 4 p.m. start at Summit East playfield in Seattle.
