North Kitsap Boys Basketball | Winter Sports Preview

Head coach: Scott Orness

2018-2019 record: 23-6 (11-2 OLY 2A)

Key players: Shaa Humphrey, sr., F; Kobe McMillian, sr., G; Logan Chmielewski, sr., F; Johny Olmsted, so., PG; Jonas La Tour, so., G/W; Aiden Olmstead, so., W; Kendall Miller, sr., W/P.

Outlook: The Vikings are a contender for a state championship after returning nearly 90 percent of its scoring from last year’s sixth place team. Humphrey, last year’s Olympic League MVP and McMillian and Chmielewski, both all-league players will be joined by a trio of incredibly talented sophomores. Olmsted started at point guard as a freshman and La Tour had a breakout performance at the 2A state tournament, showcasing his outstanding shooting ability. Olmstead and Miller were both swing players last year and should receive bigger roles. This should be an exciting season.
