Klahowya Girls Basketball | Winter Sports Preview

Head coach: Chris Koebelin (first season)

2018-2019 record: 6-12 (1-5 Oly 1A)

Key players: Katie Cooper, jr., F; Maile Lueck, sr., G; Ella Koebelin, so., PG.

Outlook: Koebelin takes over the program this year and brings along his daughter, sophomore Ella, who played last season at Vashon Island. The Eagles should have a solid core to build around with the younger Koebelin running the point along with senior guard Maile Lueck and forward Katie Cooper, who brings excellent size and athleticism to her position. The elder Koebelin said he is focused on bringing a winning and mindset to the program and have set the goal to win the league, make it through districts and reach the 1A state tournament in Yakima.
