Others from Kitsap advance to state

Kitsap County athletes took home championships in both singles and doubles at the 2A West Central District boys tennis tournament Oct. 31 at the Kitsap Tennis & Athletic Center in Bremerton.

Olympic Trojan Jonah Pantig took home the singles title, while the North Kitsap Viking duo of Rocco Targett and Grady DeVries claimed the doubles title. Additionally, multiple other singles players and doubles teams from Kitsap advanced to compete in the 2026 2A state boys tennis tournament at the University of Washington in May.

“I mean, the boys didn’t lose a match to anyone this year,” DeVries said of his son Grady and his partner Rocco. “When the two play like that, they’re hard to beat.”
