Former NFL pros share skills and drills in West Sound football camp

KINGSTON — Do you want to be a better football player?

On July 10 and 11, Kingston-based West Sound Youth Football is bringing a skills and drills football camp to Kingston High School’s football field for children from Kitsap County and Olympic Peninsula to work with ex-NFL professionals.

Campers kindergarten through eighth-grade are encouraged to work with local coaches and two former Seattle Seahawks to learn the fundamental skills and strategies to help them become better football players.

Have fun while learning about football. Players are taught teamwork, consideration of others, self-discipline and how to attain their potential in sports and in life. Players also learn the importance of achieving good grades and selecting appropriate role models.

The camp will encourage participants to have a more positive and optimistic attitude both on the field and at home.

Campers will be grouped by age, position, ability and experience to allow coaches to progressively teach safety, basics, and advanced techniques to best benefit each group.

Online registration is $80. For more information and to registration online visit: http://kysa.siplay.com/site/. A BBQ and an autograph session will be offered July 11 after camp concludes.
