• Overview: Bellarmine Prep’s emergence from mediocrity to 4A Narrows League power coincided with the arrival of quarterback Sefo Liufau in 2010. But the Lions have not regressed much, if at all, with Liufau now at the University of Colorado. Millie, who has transitioned from running back to quarterback, has plenty of options in the passing game with Griffin and McKay returning. While their offense has been productive, the Lions’ defense has been even better. Buoyed by the addition of sophomore transfer linebackers Erik Glueck and Noah Failauga, they have allowed just 9.3 points per game this season. South dominated the series with 11 consecutive wins against Bellarmine from 1989 to 2009. But that has changed as the Lions have a program-best three-game winning streak against the Wolves. They have outscored South 96-36 during that span. The Wolves’ last home against Bellarmine was 21-13 on Oct. 10, 2008.
