The Kingston High School girlsâ basketball team, in its debut year, earned a trip to the 2A State Tournament in the Tacoma Dome last month after staging a great comeback at the district tournament with wins against Sequim and Foster high school teams to advance.
At state, the lady Buccaneers lost to River Ridge High School March 5 and to Burlington-Edison High School March 6, but the busloads of Kingston fans who came along to root the team on kept cheering even after the two losses, celebrating the fantastic season played by the first-year team.
The Kingston Community News congratulates all the athletes and teams at Kingston High School and Kingston Middle School whoâve competed so well this school year and represented our community on courts and playing fields all over the state.
