Bremerton Girls Tennis | Spring Sports Preview

HEAD COACH: Bryan Webb

2016-17 RECORD: 4-8

TOP RETURNING PLAYERS: Jasmine Palaganas, senior; Emily Nguyen, senior; Cinthia Reyes, senior; Simone Cantal, junior.

KEY NEWCOMERS: Darija Maric, a foreign exchange student from Germany.

OUTLOOK: Bryan Webb, who is a BHS graduate and has worked as a teacher for 16 years, is going into his eighth year at the helm of the girls tennis team. He said he had a great group of athletes last year, and even though he had 29 players, the team finished with a 4-8 overall record and in the league due to “lack of depth in doubles.” Senior Jasmine Palaganas qualified for the state tournament in singles last year and she is back for one more season. A foreign exchange student from Germany, Darija Maric is expected to be one of the top players in the conference, he said.
