Positive PR with no money needed

I have really admired Cary Bozeman for what he has accomplished as mayor. I believe he alone could have brought better PR and positive changes to the Port without hiring the ex-editor of the Bremerton Sun for $40,000 for six months. I don’t know if he is a miracle worker for positive spin PR or not, but I do know he did a wonderful job helping to promote the Bremerton School District.

Maupin deserves

the vote

During my more than 70-year residence in Bremerton, I have watched our city change from the hub of Kitsap business to an empty shell. I might add that we old timers have been ashamed of our city. A new mayor was elected and with his arrival came an awakening of the city council.

One of the new city council members has been Will Maupin. He has served on all the council’s important committees and been the council president for two years. His leadership in working with the council and Mayor Bozeman has helped to obtain the Norm Dicks Government Center, the Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside, the new police and fire departments, the condominiums and the Kitsap Credit Union building. The paving of streets and the recently completed waterfront park are a credit to our city council and Mayor Bozeman.

It is an honor to call Will Maupin my friend. I urge you to join me in voting for Will Maupin for mayor.

A real ‘Day of Caring’

On behalf of the Kitsap Mental Health Services Board of Directors, staff and clients, our heartfelt thanks to the team of volunteers from the RLSO NW Legal Department of Navy Region Northwest for all the landscaping they accomplished on the KMHS campus during the recent United Way Day of Caring. Their leadership, teamwork, positive spirit and determination to complete the job were all very impressive. They accomplished more in that one day than we could have ever hoped.

The team members from the RLSO NW Legal Dept. are exceptional ambassadors of the Navy community. We so much appreciate their contributions to the greater Kitsap community by participating in the Day of Caring.

Thank you also to United Way for organizing the Day of Caring and selecting KMHS as one of the Day of Caring projects. We are thrilled with the improvements made to the grounds on our campus by the devoted team of volunteers.
