Here’s your chance to be a part of historic 100th event

We only turn 100 once.

The Bainbridge Island Review turns 100 this year. To celebrate, late next month we will publish a special edition filled with stories and memories of the past 100 years.

We know that many of you have special memories of the newspaper. A clipping that maybe you hung on the refrigerator, for example. You don’t have to still have the clipping to participate. Just a short written article about it would suffice.

We may have run a photo of you in it, or someone you care about. We may have run an event that you were part of, and it may be the only time you got your name in the paper.

We may have run a story that really connected with or inspired you. It may have been a feature story on someone you know. Or it may be one of the biggest stories ever on the island.

We are looking for those memories to put in the special section. Some people have already shared photos we plan to include. But we’d also like to run some stories on topics already described, or even what the paper has meant to you and the community.

We know this is a busy time of year for everyone, but if you could participate I’m sure it would mean a lot to you and your family to have your story shared in such a special section.

Please email your item to steven.powell@soundpublishing.com by the end of the month.
