Hayes, PSRC a pair to draw to, that’s for sure

Array

As if (Kitsap Transit Executive Director) Dick Hayes wasn’t delusional enough on his own, now he’s joining forces with the Puget Sound Regional Coordnating Council.

Hayes blithely cites the PSRC’s Vision 2040 document as the basis for his harebrained scheme to create a whole new transit agency in Kitsap County (“Hayes eyes new agency for passenger-only ferries, rapid buses,” Nov. 20). In fact, it’s been well-documented that the PSRC is an unelected, pseudo-governmental body dominated by Seattle and King County politicians whose stated mission is to dictate where people can live and work according to some master plan rather than an individual’s rights and preferences.

This is Hayes’ validation?

Hayes wants whatever builds up his little empire and PSRC wants what’s best for someplace other than Kitsap County.

Pity nether can be voted out of office.
