William S. McMillan, 83

William S. McMillan of Kingston died April 1, 2007. He was 83.

McMillan was born to Samuel and Clara McMillan in Great Falls, Mont. on May 15, 1923.

He married Maira Annable, and they enjoyed more than 50 years of marriage before her death.

He graduated from the University of Washington with a bachelor of arts in speech.

He joined the Army Engineer Corps in 1943 and spent several months as a battalion photographer during World War II. After the war, he worked for the city of Seattle as a property manager.

He was an avid carpenter and kept busy with remodeling projects. He and his wife were long-time Kingston residents, who spent their winters in Palm Springs, Calif.

Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. May 4, 2007 at Tahoma National Cemetery.
