Wanda Turner

Wanda Turner, 75

Wanda Faye Turner died June 29, 2006 in Bremerton. She was 75.

Turner was born to Roy and Kizzie Russell in Augusta, Kan. on Dec. 8, 1930.

She was married to Frederick Turner.

Turner graduated from high school in Eureka, Calif. in 1950.

She and her family moved extensively throughout her husband’s Army career living in Germany, Washington, North Carolina, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Kansas and Missouri. She made lifelong friends wherever she lived.

She enjoyed her family, gardening, playing cards, bowling, crocheting and playing bingo.

Turner is survived by her sons Marshall (Jo) Owen of Livermore, Calif. and Philip (Sally) Long of Poulsbo; brothers LeRoy, Don, Jay and Harold; and sisters Pauline and Maxine.

Turner was preceded in death by her sisters Adel, Arzona and Marjorie, her husband Frederick and her daughter Ruth Ann.

The family wishes to express its gratitude to the Martha & Mary family that loved and cared for Turner.
