Violet Thorsen, 90

Violet Christensen Thorsen of Poulsbo died March 1, 2007 in Poulsbo. She was 90.

Thorsen was born to Arthur J. and Marie A. (Thompson) Ryen in Poulsbo on April 14, 1916.

She married Woodrow

Christensen on Sept. 3, 1938 in Poulsbo.

She graduated from North Kitsap High School.

Thorsen was a homemaker and member of First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo and Merry Mixers.

Thorsen is survived by sons Dale (Colette) Christensen of Edmonds and Marc Christensen of Poulsbo; daughter Mary Faye (Joe) Stimac of San Diego, Calif.; sister-in-law Evelyn Ryen of Poulsbo; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Thorsen was preceded in death by her first husband Woodrow Christensen; her second husband Edward Thorsen; and brothers Francis Ryen and Robert Ryen.

Services will be at 1 p.m. March 8 at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
