T.R. ‘Jim’ Albrecht, 76

T.R. “Jim” Albrecht of Poulsbo died Jan. 17, 2007 in Bremerton. He was 76.

Albrecht was born to Charlie and Hulda (Schlender) Albrecht in Browntown, Minn. on Mar. 12, 1930.

He married Deanna Youngblom Albrecht on Nov. 26, 1958 in Cosmos, Minn.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1991.

He enjoyed fishing, gas engines, old tractors and woodworking. He was a member of the Old Gas Engine Club.

Albrecht is survived by his wife Deanna Albrecht of Poulsbo; sons Michael (Stephannie) Albrecht of Auburn and Tracy (Laura) Albrecht of Enumclaw; daughter Patricia (Francis) Spillane of Hansville; sister Mollie (Donald) Zrust of Tulalip; and three grandchildren.

Albrecht was preceded in death by his brothers William, Frank and Walter Albrecht; and sister Anita Beckstrand.

A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 27 at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo. Burial will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
